On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which changed the Daylight Saving Time (DST) schedule that had been in effect since 1966. Beginning in 2007, clocks will be set ahead one hour on the second Sunday in March (March 11, 2007) instead of the first Sunday in April. Clocks will be set back one hour on the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007) rather than the last Sunday of October.

This new law will affect thousands of Verdin customers who purchased electronic products that incorporated clocks with pre-programmed chips to automatically adjust the time for the old DST schedule.
