On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which changed the Daylight Saving Time (DST) schedule that had been in effect since 1966. Today, clocks are set ahead one hour on the second Sunday in March. Clocks are set back one hour on the first Sunday in November.

This law affects thousands of Verdin customers who purchased electronic products that incorporated clocks with pre-programmed chips to automatically adjust the time for the old DST schedule.

All of Verdin's current electronic products with built-in clocks have been successfully updated to comply with the new DST changes. Contact us about upgrading your digital carillon or bell/clock controller to one of Verdin's new state-of-the-art products.

To re-set the time on your Verdin product, follow these steps:

  • 1. Locate the photograph below that matches your Verdin carillon or controller
  • 2. Click on the photograph to download instructions to update your model
  • 3. Follow the step-by-step instructions on each page of the instructions
