Position: Mechanic

Department: Production

General Job Description:

Design, build and maintain animatronic devices known as glockenspiels using gears, sprockets, chains, motors, switches and relays Disassemble, renovate and put together time pieces, industrial machines and mechanical equipment

Specific Job Functions:

Build from scratch mechanical systems that use sprockets, chains and motors to move animated figures Dis-assemble, rebuild and re-assemble clocks

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and understand English well

• Expert knowledge of sprockets, motors, gear boxes and gears

• Knowledge of general mathematics to solve problems and blueprint reading skills

• Have experience using hand torches, welders, and power saws

• Able to MIG/TIB/Aluminum weld

• Basic knowledge of machine tooling (drill presses, metal saw, etc)

• Time management skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Good customer service skills

• Manual Dexterity

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Computer skills

• Engineering – a plus

• Five years of experience in a related position – must be able to show experience

• Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast moving environment

• Must be willing to submit to drug screen
