Welcome to The Verdin Company

The Verdin Company

At Verdin, making history is our business. Since 1842, six generations of the Verdin family have been dedicated to creating the finest cast bronze bells, carillons, digital bells, tower clocks, street clocks, memorials and monuments that become cherished legacies for years to come.

This longevity allowed us to gain expertise in partnering with our clients from conception of a project through design, manufacturing, installation and service. Today, the Verdin family remains equally committed to our customers by producing only the highest quality cast bronze bells and clocks through innovative technology and manufacturing.

Verdin's peerless craftsmanship is displayed in more than 35,000 installations world-wide, including the Smithsonian Institute, Walt Disney World, the University of Notre Dame, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the World Peace Bell, and the Mayo Clinic.

The Verdin Company Acquires
Canterbury International,

an industry leader in architectural site furnishings for over 50 years.

The Verdin Company announced today it has acquired Canterbury International, a privately-held company based in Los Angeles, California, and a leader in manufacturing architectural site furnishings.  The Verdin Company, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is recognized as the preeminent manufacturer and installer of clocks, cast bells, carillons, glockenspiels, and other musical instruments.

“It’s a great fit for us. Canterbury’s product line will enhance our bell towers, clock towers, and street clocks,” said Jim Verdin, president of The Verdin Company.  “One of Canterbury’s strengths is its people and its ability to design and produce custom pieces for architects. We have worked together on projects for a long time and have always admired how Canterbury combines quality, durability, and artistry.” [Learn More]

Restore or create a distinctive bell sound
for your church.

Few sounds inspire your church community to worship like the peal of bells or a familiar hymn ringing out—inviting all who hear to join the worship. For 170 years, Verdin cast bronze bells and electronic digital carillons have provided the liturgical hymns and church bells for 20,000 churches across the country. If you're interested in the beautiful sound of real cast bronze bells, or upgrading to the latest digital carillon for hymns, music, and authentic bell sounds, The Verdin Company can help.

Two distinct ways to inspire your community.

1. Cast Bronze Bells:Since 1842 the Verdin family has supplied church communities with the finest cast bronze bells. Choose from new cast bronze church bells or restored pre-owned bells.

2. Electronic Digital Carillons: Verdin’s line of digital electronic carillons feature the latest in technology and sampling, bringing the clear sound of real bells and hymns to your church and community.

Looking to add a Bell Tower? Verdin offers a wide range of tower alternatives, all designed to enhance the bell sounds and reach out to your church community.

Considering Restoring & Repairing? Bell repair and renovation are important hallmarks of our business. While most bronze bells last forever, the mechanical parts and supporting equipment of a bell need to be updated or replaced from time to time.

Contact us today for more information about adding bells or maintaining your existing bell equipment.

Church Bell Restoration & Preservation

Verdin Restores 149 Year Old Church Bells

Time takes its toll on all things.
Even bells.

When was the last time your church bells were serviced for safety and maintenance issues?

The Verdin Company is restoring three cast bronze church bells that are in urgent need of repair at Holy Cross-Immaculata. The 149 year old church bell tower was silenced in 2008 because the equipment that houses and rings the church bells has become dangerously fragile and in need of replacement.
